Just wondering what snacks I can have that are Harcombe diet friendly...I have both books but find at night after dinner I feel like some sort of desert or snack. I know that snacks are frowned upon but it will help me keep to the diet. I don't snack all day mind you. Just in the evening. Thanks Deb Melbourne Australia

hi there
are the pataks creamed coconut sachets ok to use? cannot find a block!
also is it any type of oil you are allowed? i.e extra virgin, chilli oil etc, also is the list of allowed condiments in your book - stop counting calories?

the books are on their way to me so sorry for all of the questions.

Hi Zoë
Am very interested in joining your diet regime, I have seen the recipe for pumpkin and sage risotto which sounds yummy, but can you tell me will this diet suit a (mainly) vegetarian who eats some fish, or are there plenty of recipe ideas which I can substitute meat with other things?
Many thanks – Nikkie

Hi Zoe thnx for helping me shed over 2 stones in 54 days i feel great and can fit into all my jeans that have been pushed to the bottom of my wardrobe for a long time with the hope that i would one day be able to fit back in them, ive gained 4lbs over the festive period (whoops) but now back at work and back onto it, ive got another stone to go and have been reading the other messages for some extra inspiration,as ive lent my book to friends at work who were so envious of me loosing the weight.
i just wanted to say to anyone a bit uncertain about the diet that its fantastic and you can see great results in just the first 5 days (i lost 11 lb) and im still really enjoying my bacon omlettes in the morning and i find having my porridge oats with raspberries for my tea stops any late evening cravings (yum).

Hi Leo - I've been recommending this book to people recently - Not all in the Mind by Dr Richard Mackarness. You can get it for a penny (plus postage) as it is out of print. It talks about all kinds of mind illness that turned out to be food related. I can't think of a modern illness that could not be substantially helped, if not alleviated, if we only stopped eating modern food, drinking modern drinks, being exposed to modern chemicals and so on.
Give Phase 1 of The Harcombe Diet a try - it's a core diet to attack all 3 conditions and you could be pleasantly surprised! We have a club for help with any other questions
Very best wishes - Zoe

Hi Zoe,

I am a chronic depression sufferer and have been researching what methods I can use to reduce the depression so that I can eventually (with the help of my doctor) go off depression medication.

I noticed that depression and anxiety are symptoms of candida, food intolerance and hypoglycemia. Candida I suffered while I was on the pill (I was a sufferer from the 9 years I was on it) and was diagnosed with hypoglycemia in my teens. I don't actually eat to help my hypoglycemia any either!

After all that, my question is, in your opinion will your diet assist in lessening the symptoms of depression?

Thanks and kind regards
